Leicestershire Villages

The final EMMG outing of the year followed on the country theme by visiting three villages in the south of Leicestershire: Horninghold, Hallaton and Medbourne.

The principal interest in each of the villages was the church, but we did manage to walk around both Hallaton and Medbourne to witness some individual houses, some monuments, a stream and a duckpond. We were short of good light all day, but the rain held off until mid-afternoon when it became too murky for outside photography.

Then, we repaired to Café Nevill in Medbourne for tea and a slice of cake. We also had lunch there and the food and décor are to be highly recommended.
